Operation Specialist

Job description

Support the employer's projects in Saudi Arabia. Contribute to the development of a new gold mine and processing facility at a remote site. Responsibilities include: P&L accountability and financial management; review and develop project proposals, schedules, and resource allocation; negotiate scope changes following change management process; drive innovation such as digitalisation and high‑value engineering; create project execution plan covering scope, deliverables, master schedule, budget, and risk register; report progress to senior management or client; promote performance‑improvement culture; ensure schedule and financial performance; ensure competence of project team; lead multidisciplinary team; establish information management systems; participate in assurance activities and peer reviews.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent preferred
• more than 20 years of relevant experience managing projects or project components
• solid experience in the related field, industry and locations
• proven project management experience with strong business acumen
• thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices
• comprehensive knowledge of project goals, drivers and strategies
• experience developing and implementing success measures and benefits across multiple projects
• knowledge of stakeholder prioritisation and management planning
• experience interfacing with key stakeholders to define requirements and acceptance criteria
• good knowledge of industry and company risk management processes
• ability to apply estimating techniques for cost estimates
• good knowledge of contract models and conditions
• capability to initiate multi‑phase projects and produce execution plans
• familiarity with international and company quality assurance standards
• knowledge of commercial and contract conditions for procurement
• deep understanding of scheduling techniques
• strong project monitoring and forecasting skills
• ability to manage change control with multiple subcontractors
• extensive knowledge of project deliverables and information management
• understanding of handover and close‑out activities
• cash flow management and cost‑at‑completion forecasting
• safety‑focused with uncompromising risk management
