HSE Coordinator - Rig (Oil & Gas) Saudi Arabia

Job description

The role supports Health, Safety, and Environmental activities for Oil & Gas operations in the Eastern Province. Coordinate and monitor implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and project safety requirements; ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations; conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and site safety assessments; identify unsafe acts, conditions, and hazards and recommend corrective actions; monitor and support Permit to Work (PTW), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and risk assessment processes; participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow‑up; prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection reports, incident reports, and safety performance records; coordinate and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, HSE awareness sessions, and training programs; monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and critical HSE equipment; attend safety meetings and communicate alerts, lessons learned, and initiatives to employees; follow up on observations, audit findings, and non‑conformances to ensure timely closure; promote a proactive safety culture and encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions; coordinate with project management, supervisors, contractors, and client representatives on HSE matters; monitor environmental compliance, waste management, spill prevention, and other protection requirements

Requirements

• Organize and participate in emergency response drills and ensure personnel are familiar with emergency procedures
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Construction, Drilling or Industrial projects
• Experience in Rig/Drilling operations or Non‑Rig Oil & Gas environments
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco HSE requirements, standards and procedures
• NEBOSH IGC certification highly preferred
• Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, First Aid, H2S, Confined Space or Fire Safety advantageous
• Strong reporting, documentation, communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in field and operational environments
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
