Insulation Technician

Job description

The technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and removing thermal, acoustic, and fire-resistant insulation systems on industrial equipment, pipes, tanks, and structures. He ensures that work is carried out safely and efficiently according to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards. His responsibilities include reading technical drawings, measuring and cutting insulation materials accurately, installing protective covers and steam barriers and protective layers, inspecting insulation and identifying damaged areas, repairing and replacing insulation, ensuring proper sealing and resistance to weather conditions, and using hand and power tools and scaffolding safely. He coordinates with supervisors and other technicians and maintains site cleanliness and adherence to health and safety requirements

Requirements

• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and personal protective equipment
• proficiency in insulation installation techniques
• experience as an insulation technician
