the employer is looking for a skilled Lathe Machinist (Oil & Gas) to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating lathe machines to fabricate and modify precision components used in the oil and gas industry. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. You will ensure machining operations are carried out efficiently while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Experience in oil and gas machining is highly desirable. Responsibilities • Set up and operate lathe machines to produce precision parts for the oil and gas sector. • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Perform measurements and quality checks to ensure parts meet required tolerances. • Maintain and adjust machines to optimize performance. • Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues. • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment. • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to meet production goals. • Proven experience working as a Lathe Machinist, preferably in the oil and gas industry. • Attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality. • Good understanding of safety standards and practices in machining operations

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent in machining, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in operating lathe machines and related manufacturing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
