the employer is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor specializing in Shutdown and Turnaround operations within the oil and gas sector. The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee and lead mechanical teams during planned shutdowns and turnaround activities, ensuring that all mechanical tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures in high-pressure environments. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating mechanical work during shutdown and turnaround projects, ensuring adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, managing daily work schedules and allocating resources effectively, coordinating with project team members and contractors to facilitate smooth operations, monitoring the progress of mechanical tasks and reporting on status and issues, ensuring quality control measures are implemented and maintained, conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings for the team, and identifying and resolving any operational problems promptly to avoid delays

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical supervision, particularly in shutdown and turnaround activities
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and quality standards.
