This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions About the role We are looking for a software engineer with a passion for improving developer experience and deployment processes. In this role, you will work across engineering teams to identify key sources of friction, improve workflows, develop new tools, and generally uplevel the velocity and reliability of the entire software, and automotive development and deployment lifecycle. At the employer, you will: • Design, build, and improve the tools, libraries, and frameworks for our engineering team • Build and test scalable tools for deploying to various automotive and cloud platforms • Optimize our compile/build times using tools like Bazel, CMake, Docker • Improve software deployment and data collection frameworks • Identify and solve bottlenecks within our software stack We're looking for someone who has: • 2+ years of relevant experience • Experience designing, provisioning, and maintaining public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). • Self-starter with a "can-do" attitude, high energy, and the independence to drive projects forward • Strong expertise in Python • Experience with CI, build, and deployment technologies like Bazel, Buildkite, Docker, Kubernetes, and comfortability with scripting for automation.
