Estimation Engineer (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical - Oil & Gas)

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Estimation Engineer to join our team. The role involves preparing complete, accurate, and competitive cost estimates and commercial proposals for major oil & gas projects. Review and evaluate client tender packages, including scope, ITT documents, specifications, commercial terms, and engineering drawings. Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, direct and indirect labor, equipment, subcontracts, site logistics, overheads, and contingencies. Perform quantity take‑offs based on drawings for civil/structural, mechanical/piping, or electrical/instrumentation disciplines. Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and technical compliance. Identify project risks, commercial implications, and site constraints and incorporate appropriate risk margins and allowances. Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits, tender clarifications, and post‑bid negotiations. Prepare comprehensive commercial and technical proposals in line with client requirements and company standards

Requirements

• Proficiency with CCS Candy or Primavera Enterprise or specialized cost databases
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency
• Knowledge of oil & gas standards
• Understanding of contract types (Lump Sum, Unit Rate, Cost‑Plus)
• Procurement expertise
• Attention to detail and compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5-8+ years experience in cost estimation and tendering in the oil & gas sector
