Senior Well Engineer

Job description

Key responsibilities include: project management, risk management, and compliance. The role also involves reviewing and approving well proposals, reviewing and approving operational procedures, supervising junior well engineers, coordinating with clients and contractors, monitoring costs, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards. Participates in risk management, investigations, and leads performance reviews to improve drilling efficiency. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline, 10+ years of experience in drilling/well engineering operations, strong knowledge of well design, drilling operations, and well control, and a valid Well Control certification. Must have experience in cost control, AFE management, and performance monitoring, proven leadership and mentoring experience, and a strong understanding of HSE standards, risk management, and compliance. Must be able to manage projects, analyze performance, and drive continuous improvement
