Radiology Technologist

Job description

The Radiology Technologist prepares patients for radiologic procedures, escorts them to dressing and x‑ray rooms, provides verbal or written instructions, and assists with positioning. Explains procedures and monitors patients to ensure care, safety and comfort during scans. Operates radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, sets exposure parameters per exam specifications, and follows radiation safety standards. Uses protection devices to safeguard patients and staff, ensures equipment functionality and reports malfunctions. Performs administrative tasks such as completing forms, labeling films, maintaining logs, and entering orders into the electronic medical record. Maintains radiologic supplies, backs up clinical team members as needed, and treats patients with compassion and person‑centered care

Requirements

• Must be proficient in English language
• Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations
• Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness and infection control policies and regulations
• Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance
• Computer Skills – Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record
