Senior Power System Planning Expert

Job description

The role involves analyzing and defining planning principles, defining and validating power system models, enhancing methodologies for planning with massive RES and BESS integration, linking techno‑economic models to define critical operating points, performing steady‑state analyses such as load flow, short‑circuit and hosting capacity, conducting dynamic stability analyses including frequency, transient and voltage stability, supporting grid reliability and security assessments, writing reports to present analysis results, interacting with clients to convince them of proposed solutions, supervising the power system team and managing consultancy projects, and supporting business development teams in identifying and pursuing opportunities

Requirements

• Excel
• GIT
• Asset Management
• Master's degree in Engineering
• 10+ years experience in Power System Planning
• Proficient with power system simulation tools (PowerFactory, PSSE)
• Knowledge of Power System economics basics
• Team player
• Good oral presentation skills
• Fluent in English
• Knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset
