Parts Man

Job description

The Parts Man handles receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of genuine automotive parts in the dealership warehouse. Ensures inventory accuracy, supports workshop efficiency and provides timely parts availability for service operations and customers. Responsibilities: receive shipments and verify quantities, part numbers and condition; report discrepancies, shortages or damages; store parts using FIFO and OEM guidelines; maintain proper conditions for fragile parts, fluids, batteries, tyres, lubricants and hazardous materials; handle high‑voltage battery components with approved safety procedures; pick parts for workshop orders, retail sales, body shop needs and inter‑branch transfers; verify picked quantities before dispatch; pack parts securely for transport; dispatch parts to internal departments, customers and branches with proper documentation; support urgent workshop requests; conduct daily cycle counts and assist scheduled stock takes; monitor stock condition and report damaged, expired or slow‑moving items; ensure correct stock rotation and minimize losses; maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization and 5S standards; operate forklifts, pallet jacks and handling equipment safely

Requirements

• Proficient in receiving shipments and verifying quantities and part numbers
• proficient in storing parts using FIFO and OEM requirements
• knowledge of storing fragile parts, batteries and hazardous materials
• experience handling high‑voltage battery components with safety procedures
• proficient in picking, packing and dispatching parts accurately
• experience conducting cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy
• knowledge of 5S cleanliness and organization standards
• proficient in operating forklifts and warehouse handling equipment
• ability to report discrepancies and communicate with the Parts Supervisor.
