Field Service Technician

Job description

Role Overview: The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of the employer’s pumps, seals, and other equipment. Responsibilities: The Field Service Technician provides real-time technical support to customers across various industries, offers recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement equipment, and actively engages in onsite problem-solving and solution implementation at customer facilities

Requirements

• Professional certifications in this field
• High School Diploma / GED with 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in the industrial applications and operations of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment
• Experience in repairing pump equipment, installing mechanical seals, and changing seal faces/gaskets/O-rings
• Proven ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• An active driver’s license with a good driving record
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
• Self-starter with strong follow-through, capable of independent work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel, including globally, for extended periods
• Flexibility to work overtime as required to minimize customer impact
