Senior Manager Accounting Reporting & Controls

About the Role: the employer seeks to ensure the integrity, accuracy and compliance of financial accounting and reporting in line with IFRS, accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Ensure integrity, accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, provide technical accounting expertise on complex transactions and estimates, oversee statutory financial statements and Central Bank of Bahrain reporting, establish and maintain a robust financial control environment, review significant accounting estimates, judgments and provisions, prepare and review technical accounting memoranda and standards assessments, coordinate with stakeholders and external auditors, lead preparation and review of interim and annual financial statements, manage external audit activities, develop and maintain an effective financial control framework, monitor control deficiencies and remediate, develop accounting policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS, improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounting and control processes, act as technical adviser to internal stakeholders, develop team capabilities, support the Financial Controller in achieving departmental objectives and strengthening financial governance

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in banking, financial services or investment institutions
• proficient in IFRS
• experienced in financial reporting and statutory compliance
• knowledge of financial control environment and ICFR
• experience applying accounting policies and procedures
• ability to guide complex financial transactions
• excellent coordination and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• leadership and team development capabilities
