Job description

One of the largest hotels providing hotel services • Ensures the purchase and delivery of purchases to the requesting unit with the right product at the right time at the right price. • Assists in selecting supplies based on quality performance. • Maintains up-to-date and accurate records of orders, purchases, suppliers, market studies etc. as per operational requirements. • Conduct regular market study to be aware of prices, quality and market conditions and inform the user section of the same. • Responsible for coordinating with users to ensure smooth and timely workflow for their needs. • Recommend/implement changes in systems and procedures to increase efficiency and improve performance. • Recommends cost saving and quality improvement by keeping abreast of market conditions.

Requirements

• Education
• Graduate, preferably majoring in commerce
• Understanding the market and sources of materials used in the hotel
• Thorough knowledge of hotel purchasing policies and procedures
• Good negotiation skills
• Analytical capable, preferably computer-based
• Product knowledge
• 2-3 years of experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel/establishment
