They also provide counselling for mental health issues such as eating disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, and psychosis in order to help the clients rehabilitate and reach a healthy behaviour. Typical duties of this profession: • Meet and check the patients; review their medical history including their social history; obtain information from their relatives and other concerned professionals; request conducting tests, such as blood tests, electroencephalography and magnetic resonance imaging. • Provide the specialized medical care, such as psychotherapy and mental therapeutics to treat the mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. • Monitor the patients’ health status; assess their response to treatment; and re-assess the treatment plans, as necessary. • Maintain the technical expertise, update the knowledge on a continuous basis, study the specialized publications, and participate in the training courses and conferences. • Document, and keep the on the corresponding database, the medical procedures, during diagnosis and follow-up, as well as the treatment plan and the pathological and therapeutic data of patient, as per the regulating policies and procedures
