Senior Manager HSE

Job description

The Senior Manager - Health, Safety & Environment is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s HSE management systems to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies. Drives continuous improvement in safety performance, environmental sustainability, and operational risk management while promoting a proactive safety culture. Key duties include strategic leadership to develop and implement HSE strategies, set KPIs, advise senior leadership on risks and compliance, ensure regulatory compliance, lead incident prevention and zero‑harm initiatives, oversee hazard identification and risk assessments, review and approve safety plans, lead investigations, develop environmental programs, monitor waste and energy efficiency, conduct audits and ensure corrective actions, design training and competency programs, foster reporting and learning culture, liaise with authorities, clients, contractors, represent the company in HSE forums, and manage emergency response plans and drills

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• NEBOSH Diploma
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
• CMIOSH
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
• 15+ years progressive HSE experience
• 5+ years leadership or managerial experience
• experience in construction, buildings, mixed‑use or large‑scale project environments
• proven ability to implement HSE management systems and lead organizational safety initiatives.
