Job description

The CNC Machinist supports machining and finishing of gas turbine components, including post‑braze inspection, EDM, steam cleaning, grit‑blast preparation, vision inspection, coating polishing, and laser hole clearing. Executes process steps safely and accurately, demonstrates strong Lean behaviors, supports problem solving, maintains 5S standards, and contributes to continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery and productivity. Key duties include operating EDM, MKG and auto‑polisher machines per work instructions, reading technical documentation and engineering drawings, recording process and inspection data, setting up and monitoring CNC, EDM, laser and polishing equipment, inspecting parts before and after operations, adhering to standard work, keeping the work area clean and safe, applying Lean principles daily, performing grit blasting when required, identifying improvement opportunities, supporting standard work and visual management, improving line performance and productivity, working within takt time, using shop floor systems such as ELM and SmartShop, and complying with quality and safety policies.

Requirements

• Diploma, technical college degree or equivalent hands‑on experience
• knowledge of CNC machining, EDM, laser machining, finishing or related industrial manufacturing operations
• minimum 2 years experience with steam cleaning, grit blasting and manual or automated coating polishing processes
• minimum 2 years experience working with gas turbine components or other precision aerospace/industrial parts
• experience with HAAS or similar brand of VTB / VTL / VFB / lathe / milling machines.
