HSE Manager/Safety Manager

Job description

Develop all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to ensure compliance with OHSAS and ISO standards. Monitor HSE controllers while they conduct continuous audits. Manage HSE controllers and coordinate their audit schedule. Investigate root causes of HSE complaints raised by staff and report results to the HSEQ manager. Coordinate and participate in accident and near‑miss investigations. Audit work performed under a Safe Work Permit. Assist with implementing Job Safety Analysis and inspect job site activities during difficult or hazardous situations. Support company management in preparing and presenting field HSE meetings. Review and analyze accidents and near‑miss incidents and recommend corrective actions. Ensure regular emergency response exercises and drills, maintain records, and provide improvement recommendations. Help develop field emergency response procedures and evacuation plans. Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics and performance presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 12+ years experience in refinery or petrochemical HSE section
• Fluent in written and reading English
• Good knowledge of SAP system
• Fair knowledge of plant process operations
• Good technical understanding of maintenance execution management
• Strong knowledge in root cause analysis (RCA)
• Good technical understanding of people management
• Strong technical understanding of HSE requirements
• Well organized and proactive
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven leadership skills in large organizations
• Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems
• Strategic thinking and openness to new ideas
• Ability to achieve business results in a multicultural environment
