Rotating Technician II

Job description

The Rotating Technician II maintains rotating equipment in good condition. Performs installation, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment and mechanical systems to required standards. Allocates maintenance activities to technicians and assembles the team. Supervises ongoing jobs and updates progress to the foreman. Organizes manpower resources, equipment and material availability. Arranges necessary work permits before work starts. Provides technical advice to technicians on proper tools and equipment. Coordinates with Operations, Maintenance Planning and Technical departments to execute and complete jobs. Ensures SAP data entry, history and actual hours are maintained. Attends daily and weekly maintenance progress meetings. Strictly complies with SATORP standards and guidelines. Ensures compliance with safe work practices, hazardous work regulations and PPE usage per SATORP standards. Encourages reporting of near misses, unsafe conditions and acts. Participates in safety audits. Attends scheduled safety and technical training.

Requirements

• 4-6 years experience in Oil & Gas maintenance
• Diploma/Bachelor degree
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas facilities
• Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
• Proven leadership skills with large organizations
• Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems
• Strategic management skills
• Ability to achieve business results working in a multicultural environment
