The role focuses on implementing and managing Quality, Health, Safety and Environment programs to ensure compliance with standards and federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining safety and health programs, investigating incidents, providing technical guidance, conducting internal audits, managing budgets, and leading ES&H specialist teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years progressive experience in Environmental, Safety and Health management or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.)
• Proven expertise developing, implementing and managing safety and health programs across multiple operational areas
• Experience conducting workplace investigations, hazard assessments and root cause analyses
• Strong proficiency in ES&H compliance auditing and regulatory interpretation
• Experience managing ES&H budgets and identifying cost-effective safety solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with regulatory agencies, management and operational teams
• Advanced proficiency in safety management systems, incident reporting and data analysis
• Proven track record driving continuous improvement initiatives and measurable safety performance enhancements
• Preferred: Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health or related field
• Preferred: Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH or CEP
• Preferred: Experience leading and mentoring ES&H teams
• Preferred: Experience administering ES&H programs on medium to large projects
• Preferred: Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and best practices
• Preferred: Experience with emergency preparedness planning and crisis management
• Preferred: Proficiency with ES&H management software and data analytics tools
