Cost Controller

Job description

The role involves monitoring food, beverage and operational costs, ensuring accurate inventory management, analyzing daily and monthly cost reports, investigating variances, and preparing monthly cost reports. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Stores, Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Finance teams to improve cost efficiency and ensure compliance with hotel policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3–4 years of cost control experience, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel
• good understanding of hotel accounting and purchasing procedures
• excellent analytical and numerical skills
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hotel/ERP systems
• strong attention to detail and accuracy
• ability to identify discrepancies and investigate variances
• good communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• strong organizational skills and proactive problem‑solving approach
• previous experience in a luxury or international hotel is an advantage
• knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera, Micros, Materials Control, SunSystems, SAP or similar is an advantage
• professional accounting qualifications or relevant certifications are a plus
