Commercial Associate Manager -Fruit and Vegetables

Job description

The Associate Manager – Commercial supports sourcing, merchandising, and sales development activities across assigned categories and stores. Focus areas include demand forecasting, supplier management, visual merchandising execution, inventory optimization, and enhancing commercial performance while ensuring consistent brand presentation and product availability.

Requirements

• Experience managing or supporting the Fruits & Vegetables category within a supermarket, hypermarket, or food retail environment
• proven ability to drive category sales, margin growth, and product availability
• knowledge of local and imported Fruits & Vegetables sourcing channels and supplier networks
• familiarity with assortment planning, range reviews, promotional planning, and pricing strategies
• strong understanding of merchandising standards, planograms, and category presentation
• experience working with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Replenishment, Logistics, and Marketing
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or other reporting and analytics tools
• ability to identify market trends, customer preferences, and commercial opportunities to improve category performance
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Commercial, Category Management, Buying, or Merchandising within Fresh Food, Fruits & Vegetables, FMCG, or Retail
• strong understanding of Fruits & Vegetables operations, seasonality, sourcing, pricing, and product quality standards
• experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, shrink control, and demand planning
• advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret sales, stock, and profitability reports
• strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to collaborate across Operations, Supply Chain, and Supplier partners
