IoT Engineer

Job description

the employer seeks an IoT Engineer for the Makkah region. The engineer will design, implement, and maintain connected systems supporting marine operations. Daily tasks include developing and testing embedded software, integrating sensors and actuators, configuring Raspberry Pi and similar edge devices, and ensuring secure data transmission between devices and cloud platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, optimizing performance and reliability, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate operational requirements into technical solutions, documenting designs, participating in code reviews, supporting field deployment and commissioning, and contributing to continuous improvement of the employer’s IoT architecture

Requirements

• Experience with embedded systems, Linux-based environments, and version control tools such as Git
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, basic cybersecurity practices, and cloud or IoT platforms is beneficial
