the employer Investment Company is seeking an accomplished Executive Director Commercial to lead and oversee all commercial activities related to significant Construction Development within the employer. This senior leadership position will play a critical role in driving the commercial strategy, managing high-value contracts, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that align with the employer's vision and objectives. The Executive Director Commercial will be responsible for steering commercial operations, contract negotiations, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across a large-scale construction development projects. You will lead a dynamic commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on delivering value, efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies that support project and company goals. • Lead negotiations and management of contracts, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation. • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to optimize project commercial performance. • Collaborate closely with project directors, legal teams, and external partners to manage commercial risks and opportunities. • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and transparency. • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the commercial team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• a Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, MCIOB) are highly desirable.
• 15+ years of experience in commercial management within the large-scale construction development sector, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, commercial strategy development, and risk management.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar project budgets and forecasts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
• Experience with Middle Eastern construction markets and relevant regulatory environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in commercial management software and project management tools.
