Field Engineer

Job description

Responsibilities: Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections and report on progress, quality, and safety performance. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues. Review method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, and work procedures. Verify that works are carried out according to approved plans and applicable codes and standards. Assist in monitoring project schedules and identifying potential delays or risks. Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and inspection documentation. Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements. Assist the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in achieving project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5+ years experience in construction supervision, inspection, or site engineering on major building or infrastructure projects
• Ability to identify and resolve construction-related issues effectively
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software
• Familiarity with BIM-enabled project delivery processes
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and handover requirements
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
