Job description

Responsible for designing, specifying and delivering services for communication systems such as satellite, line‑of‑sight, fiber optic, telephone, public address systems and data transmission from SCADA. Works under direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment for minor adaptations. With additional experience in one functional area, assists in designing larger, more complex assignments involving conventional plans, investigations and surveys with few known features. Properly performed tasks indirectly impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability and operations.

Requirements

• Proficient in design and specification of communication systems
• knowledge of satellite, line‑of‑sight, fiber optic, telephone and public address systems
• experience with data transmission from SCADA systems
• ability to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques
• skill in making minor adaptations
• understanding of engineering procedures
• undergraduate degree in Engineering
• location Eastern Province
