About the Role the employer is looking for an R&D specialist to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves leading new product development, optimizing formulations, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. The specialist will contribute to the advancement of materials science and influence product innovation. Key Responsibilities Drive end-to-end development of new and existing products from concept to commercialization, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals. Develop and optimize formulations, specifically for PVC, CPVC and PP compounds, to meet performance and cost targets. Selection and evaluation of raw materials and additives such as stabilizers, fillers, impact modifiers and lubricants. Evaluate alternative suppliers in coordination with the procurement team. Conduct product testing, material evaluation and production trials, ensuring full compliance with international standards including ASTM, ISO, SASO, NSF and UL. Investigate materials-related issues using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), scrap and defect analysis, and recommend cost reduction initiatives. Prepare and maintain accurate material specifications, data sheets, and validation reports. Provide support to production teams on the shop floor. Qualifications and Experience At least 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant R&D role. Proven experience in product development and formulation optimization. Familiarity with international standards (ASTM, ISO, SASO, NSF, UL) for material testing and validation. Work Environment and Location This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah.
