About the employer and the role: the employer is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee product quality across the platform. Own quality from requirements review through release decision. Define and improve testing approaches, selection of tools and standards. Define the scope and depth of testing (functional, regression, API, UI, performance, security, usability). Conduct manual and exploratory testing of new features. Build and maintain Playwright automation (TypeScript/JavaScript) for CI. Code review and pull requests. Analyze defects using DevTools and prioritize. Prevent recurrence of problems by analyzing trends and implementing controls. Use AI tools to improve creation, testing and error analysis. Explaining risks to stakeholders and making recommendations. Improving processes, tools and mentoring other quality engineers. Location: Mecca

Requirements

• Years in quality testing with direct responsibility for releases
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing with the ability to balance them
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript to write Playwright automation and maintain application code
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or a similar framework
• Proficiency in Git and GitHub including branches, pull requests, code review, and CI pipelines
• Deep understanding of test types, techniques, and test design
• Flexibility to adjust testing approach according to situations while maintaining high quality standards
• Experience in testing web, mobile, and APIs
• Proficiency in DevTools for browsers in debugging and analysis
• Practical experience using AI tools with critical thinking to evaluate their reliability
• A preventive mindset with examples of solving the root of problems rather than just the symptoms
