Job description

Role Purpose: The Production Engineer – Valves is responsible for design, manufacturing, validation and verification of valve products used in oil and gas equipment. Accountabilities: review contracts and sales orders to identify technical and commercial risks; develop new product designs and improve existing ones; participate in design reviews with customers and obtain acceptance; conduct field visits and prepare master layout plans and proposals for engineering design or modification based on customer requirements; develop overall project verification plans, including third‑party and customer verification requirements; ensure designs comply with current international standards; identify improvements in products, procedures and processes and implement effective solutions; communicate design specifications to engineers and designers; act as presenter or reviewer in technical reviews; prepare and manage execution plans for engineering deliverables; perform design verification and produce a full Design Verification Report; create and review drawings, calculations, procedures and BOMs, ensuring proper approvals; review, update and develop manufacturing process routings; collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, testing and field services to solve problems; provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned projects; work non‑standard hours during rig‑down situations; participate in continuous improvement of processes, tools and standards; ensure proper documentation of technical data according to engineering policies; comply with quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years related work experience in upstream oil and gas product design and development or equivalent education‑experience combination
• proficiency with international design standards
• experience reviewing contracts and assessing risks
• ability to develop and improve valve designs
• strong communication skills for customer design reviews
• capability to create verification plans and Design Verification Reports
• proficiency in creating and reviewing drawings, calculations and BOMs with proper approvals
• knowledge of manufacturing process routing updates
• teamwork with purchasing, manufacturing, testing and field services
• technical leadership and project ownership
• willingness to work non‑standard hours
• commitment to quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
