Communications Engineer

About the Role the employer is looking for a Communications Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. The incumbent is responsible for preparing plans for the installation and operation of central and subsidiary communications exchanges, in addition to planning wired and wireless communications networks and following up on their implementation. This role is full time and requires 0 to 1 year of experience. Main tasks and responsibilities: Preparing plans for the installation of central and sub-communications switches, following up on installation procedures, conducting the initial trial operation, and preparing operating programs. Planning wired and wireless communications networks, and following up on implementation and operating procedures. Preparing and developing preventive maintenance programs for telecommunications equipment and networks in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, and following up on their implementation. Diagnosing faults in switches and networks and following up on their treatment. Developing work methods and procedures and keeping pace with technical developments in the field of communications. Preparing documents and reports specialized in engineering works and projects and their progress rates, displaying and clarifying them, and keeping them in its database in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience Practical experience ranging from 0 to one year in the field of communications engineering. Ability to prepare installation and operation plans for communications networks and switchboards. Good knowledge of telecommunications network planning. Ability to prepare preventive maintenance programs and diagnose faults. Required Skills: Excellent planning, organization and follow-up skills. Ability to prepare specialized technical reports. Strong analytical skills to diagnose technical problems. The ability to keep pace with technical developments in the field Communications. Work Environment The work is based in Riyadh, and it is a full-time role within a specialized team at the employer The role focuses on the technical and engineering aspects of communications networks.
