Planning Engineer

About the Role the employer is looking for a Planning Engineer to join their team, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to candidates with experience ranging from and including developing, monitoring and reporting on project schedules and progress on various engineering, procurement and construction activities. Key Responsibilities in Planning and Scheduling Develop, maintain and update detailed EPC project schedules using Primavera P6. Prepare and manage baseline timelines, recovery schedules and forward-looking plans. Monitor project progress against approved timelines and highlight deviations. Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays. Forecasting project completion dates and supporting project management in making decisions related to the schedule. Monitor progress and prepare reports Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities. Preparing weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client submissions. Develop project dashboards, progress measurement systems, S-curves, and resource graphs. Track productivity, resource utilization and key project performance indicators (KPIs). Maintain project planning records and reporting documents. Procurement and Manufacturing Coordination Monitor the material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipping and on-site delivery phases. Expects mat material requirements and coordinates fabrication permits in line with project timelines. Track vendor and subcontractor deliverables against contractual milestones. Support the timely mobilization of suppliers and subcontractors. They lit up Project Ducks and Commercial Support Prepare cost summaries and packing estimates based on quotes received. Develop technical and business reports to monitor project financial performance and overall project health. Assist in forecasting cash flow, monitoring cost to completion and analyzing project performance. Support change management, delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations when needed. Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE and Commercial teams for schedule updates. Participate in progress review meetings with SEC, National Grid, subcontractors and project stakeholders. Support project management in identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures
