Sustainability Manager

Job description

Exciting opportunity at the employer for a Sustainability Manager to join the Sustainability and Environment team. Working under Middle East leadership and collaborating with the regional team to develop offerings and design leading projects. Leads delivery of sustainability, decarbonization, net zero, energy, GHG, and green building certification projects in the built environment sector. Responsibilities include high‑quality technical outputs, managing project tasks and teams, supporting business development, mentoring junior staff, and enhancing sustainability services and methodologies.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Sustainable Energy, Environmental Sciences, Architecture, Building Services Engineering or related field
• Minimum 8 years of sustainability consulting experience
• Proficiency in one or more sustainability disciplines such as sustainable buildings, sustainable communities, decarbonization, climate resilience
• Experience leading sustainability assessments, energy studies, carbon assessments and technical analyses
• Knowledge of green building certification systems like LEED, WELL, Mostadam, Estidama, BREEAM
• Understanding of sustainability regulations, policies and net zero frameworks
• Ability to review and quality‑assure technical deliverables of junior team members
• Professional accreditation such as LEED AP, WELL AP, Mostadam AP, Estidama PQP preferred
• Excellent analytic and communication skills
• Highly self‑motivated with strong enthusiasm for sustainable outcomes
• Flexible and adaptable to work from different the employer or client locations
• Experience in line management and performance management
• Strong report writing, communication and presentation skills
• Experience with built‑environment certification for mega projects in Saudi Arabia.
