Planning Engineer/Scheduler

Job description

Join the construction supervision team on the Green Riyadh Project. Responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting project progress, ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders and timely delivery of objectives. Develop detailed schedules using Primavera P6, establish baselines and track progress, review contractor baseline schedules and recovery plans, perform critical path analysis and scenario assessments, analyze progress, milestones, delays and risks, provide mitigation recommendations, coordinate schedules with project managers, engineers, contractors and client representatives, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and executive summaries, monitor KPIs and forecast completion dates, evaluate extension of time requests and delay analyses, support change management by assessing schedule impacts, facilitate progress review meetings, mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement of tools and processes.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of CPM scheduling, baseline management, progress measurement, forecasting and variance analysis
• Experience reviewing and monitoring contractor schedules within a construction supervision environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field
• Minimum 7-10 years of planning and scheduling experience on large‑scale infrastructure, landscaping, urban development or construction projects
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary project environment
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑SP, AACE PSP or equivalent
• Knowledge of schedule risk analysis and planning best practices
• Familiarity with delay analysis, extension of time evaluations and claims management
• Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Power BI
