Process Engineer

Job description

the employer, a talent acquisition firm, is hiring a Process Engineer. Responsible for developing and improving process solutions in the oil and gas sector. Works with industry experts to design systems that increase efficiency and productivity while adhering to safety standards. Develops and refines process designs, PFD and P&ID diagrams. Performs process simulations, mass and energy balance analysis, and feasibility studies. Monitors process performance and implements efficiency improvements. Supports troubleshooting of process disturbances or equipment failures. Participates in operations, start‑up and shut‑down activities. Ensures compliance with HSE standards, company procedures and industry regulations. Prepares technical reports, documentation and operating manuals. Collaborates with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control teams. Contributes to HAZOP, SIL studies and risk assessments

Requirements

• Proficiency in process safety and plant operation standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
• Experience in process engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial plants
• Proficiency with process simulation tools Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II or equivalents
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and safety compliance focus
• Technical writing and documentation skills
• High attention to detail
