Interface Lead

Job description

Responsible for managing and coordinating technical, organizational, contractual and physical interfaces between project disciplines, contractors, consultants, authorities, stakeholders and operational entities. Ensures interfaces are identified, assigned, tracked and resolved timely to avoid design conflicts, construction delays, scope gaps and rework. Duties include leading daily interface management, establishing the Interface Management Plan and procedures, developing the Interface Register and ICDs, coordinating interfaces across engineering, construction, procurement, commissioning, quality, HSE, planning, commercial and operations, managing discipline interfaces (Civil, Structural, MEP, ICT, ELV, Utilities, Roads, Airfield, FLS, specialist systems), facilitating workshops and meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and action trackers, escalating critical issues, supporting BIM clash resolution, monitoring interface risks, documenting decisions and providing regular status reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience on major airport, infrastructure, transportation or large‑scale construction projects
• strong multidisciplinary coordination experience
• experience managing interfaces between contractors, consultants, design teams and stakeholders
• airport/aviation interface management experience highly preferred
• Interface Management or Systems Engineering training preferred
• PMI or AACE project controls training advantageous
• BIM/Digital Engineering coordination training beneficial
• proficiency with Interface Registers and Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
• proficiency with Interface Responsibility Matrix (IRM)
• technical interface management expertise
• design coordination expertise
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related field
• 5+ years relevant experience in interface management, engineering coordination, construction management or project delivery
• PMP or CAPM certification advantageous
• relevant HSE certification advantageous
