Senior Process Engineer

Job description

The Senior Process Engineer – HYCO provides senior‑level technical leadership for plant operations and projects from concept through commissioning. Coordinates technical activities between site engineers and operations teams, mentors junior process engineers, and ensures safe, reliable, efficient, and cost‑effective production of hydrogen, syngas, CO, and CO₂. Supports regional teams on new installations, plant modifications, and continuous improvement, collaborates with global and regional production engineers and process safety specialists. Applies continuous improvement methods, monitors daily plant performance and reliability KPIs.

Requirements

• proficient in HYCO process technology
• experience leading engineering teams and mentoring junior process engineers
• knowledge of Aspen Plus and related Aspen suite tools
• experience improving productivity and reducing costs
• proficient in process statistics and data analytics (control charts, regression, capability analysis, multivariate analysis)
• experience with Advanced Process Control (APC) and Real‑Time Optimization (RTO)
• knowledge of heterogeneous catalyst systems used in HYCO (HDS, ZnO absorbers, Pre‑Reforming, SMR, HTS, LTS, Methanation)
• experience with Management of Change (MOC) and Process Hazard Reviews (OPHR, PHA/HAZOP, LOPA)
• proficient in technical safety support and applying BHIG and Air Products standards
• experience conducting Root Cause Analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• strong communication with cross‑functional teams.
