Welding QC Engineer (Hot Tap Experience) - Aramco Approved

Job description

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations, especially hot tap processes. Perform quality control inspections of welding activities according to project specifications and standards. Review project documents such as welding procedures, inspection plans, and quality plans. Compile and maintain records of inspections, tests, and results to meet Aramco's QA requirements. Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to identify potential quality issues and provide solutions. Participate in pre‑welding briefings and convey quality expectations to all personnel. Monitor compliance with safety standards during all welding activities. Conduct regular audits of welding processes and report findings to the QA/QC Manager. Assist in developing and improving welding procedures and QC protocols. Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience with Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and certifications
• quality control
• quality assurance
• compliance
• proficient understanding of welding codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.)
• experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• familiarity with Aramco QA/QC standards
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• valid Aramco approval or certification as a Welding QC Engineer
• bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
