Material Specialist

Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Material Specialist in Saudi Arabia to manage procurement and supply chain of materials for oil and energy projects. You will work with project managers and engineering teams to ensure material quality, timely delivery, and compliance with specifications. You will communicate with suppliers and stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency. • Develop and execute material procurement plans for timely resource acquisition. • Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. • Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels to forecast and manage material needs. • Conduct market assessments to stay updated on industry trends and supply chain dynamics. • Prepare and manage procurement documentation such as contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements. • Coordinate logistics of material transportation ensuring project compliance. • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in material management processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• experience in materials procurement and supply chain logistics, preferably in the oil and energy industry
• strong negotiation and relationship management skills with suppliers
• excellent analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and material quality
• effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• familiarity with supply chain software and tools is a plus.
