Gas Distribution SCADA Specialist

Job description

The role involves maintaining and administering the SCADA system of the Marafiq Gas Distribution Network (GDN) in Yanbu to ensure high equipment availability and optimize system performance. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA application software, operating systems, hardware, RTUs, and communication networks. Administer SCADA systems including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and services. Monitor system performance such as alarms, CPU usage, disk space, and network traffic. Analyze real‑time data using data historian tools and visualization platforms. Provide technical support to operations, troubleshoot SCADA failures, generate reports, and resolve issues. Conduct testing, commissioning, and integration of new SCADA devices and applications. Manage system security, user accounts, password resets, and access rights. Maintain backups and disaster recovery processes. Handle hardware maintenance, spare parts inventory, and support AMI maintenance activities. Support project and engineering tasks, review design packages, and participate in reliability and safety studies

Requirements

• 8 years field experience with major utility organizations or SCADA system manufacturers

• Bachelor Degree in I&C Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years experience in SCADA systems for gas distribution
• Experience with SCADA systems of Gas Distribution Network including RTUs in metering skids and related communication systems
