Public Facilities Operations Manager

Job description

The manager oversees planning, directing, and coordinating facility management activities for the company, including current and future physical sites, designs, and furniture. Develops overall administrative plans, policies, and strategies for facilities and ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Supervises daily facility operations, schedules maintenance and cleaning, and coordinates repair work to minimize downtime. Selects, trains, and oversees staff while monitoring performance against targets. Plans new construction and extensions and prepares related building contracts for review and approval

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in facilities management or public works
• strong understanding of facility and maintenance principles
• ability to plan and organize schedules and multiple tasks
• strong leadership and supervisory skills
• excellent communication and coordination skills
• effective decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities
• knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
