The job purpose is to deliver hands-on training across various manufacturing and industrial sectors, including metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and welding. The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training to support the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry. Responsibilities include delivering theoretical and practical training, designing lessons and workshops, and assessing trainees' understanding.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in metal fabrication, machining, sheet metal work, fastening or welding techniques
• Minimum of Diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Production Technology or a related field
• Excellent communication skills
• Enhanced security clearance
• Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices
• Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting
• Recognized teaching qualification
• Experience with use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies
• Experience with assessing and internal verification.
