Sr. Mechanical Inspector

Job description

Responsible for conducting mechanical inspections in compliance with ASME, ASNT, and API standards. Interprets mechanical drawings and P&ID diagrams. Prepares comprehensive technical and inspection reports. Performs inspection tasks independently with minimal supervision. Witnesses and verifies repair and maintenance activities. Identifies and assesses damage mechanisms during inspections. Participates in Turnaround & Inspection activities and ensures compliance with applicable codes. Monitors equipment condition during on-stream operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10–12 years of relevant inspection experience including Turnaround & Inspection and on-stream inspection
• API 570 and 510 certifications (ASNT preferred)
• in-depth knowledge of inspection codes and standards (ASME, API, ASNT)
• proficiency with inspection software and reporting tools
• good command of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
• strong communication and interpersonal skills
• ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Arabic and English proficiency
