O&M Engineer

Job description

The O&M Engineer supports safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of gas plants and pipeline systems. The role focuses on plant operations, mechanical equipment maintenance, and ensuring asset integrity in line with safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include performing and supporting daily operations and maintenance, monitoring plant and pipeline performance, executing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance, maintaining static and rotary equipment such as vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and valves, diagnosing equipment faults and applying corrective actions, supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, preparing maintenance reports, work orders, and technical documentation, coordinating with operations teams, contractors, and vendors, and preferably using SAP PM for maintenance planning, execution, and reporting.

Requirements

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• 5 - 8 years of experience in operations and maintenance of gas plants and pipelines
• proven experience in plant and pipeline operations
• strong hands‑on experience in maintenance of static and rotary mechanical equipment
• knowledge of gas processing facilities and pipeline systems
• expertise in mechanical maintenance practices and equipment reliability
• SAP PM experience preferred
• strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• good understanding of safety procedures and permit‑to‑work systems
• ability to work in a team‑based operational environment
• effective communication and reporting skills
• attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
