Civil Deputy Superintendent

The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations on a construction site, managing and leading field personnel, ensuring adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and construction schedules, developing and maintaining project schedules, identifying and resolving project issues, communicating with project stakeholders, maintaining accurate project documentation, and managing project budgets.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in construction projects (from project starts to completion)
• extensive knowledge of project specifications and standards, and small to medium project experience
• experience in oil / gas / petrochemical or power plants as a superintendent
• engineering & construction company working experience
• strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction techniques, particularly in survey, soil improvement, foundation work for plants, underground work, pit and basin, precast concrete, dewatering, shoring, etc.
• familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and measurement definitions
• ability to manage project budgets, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of construction projects
• knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to ensure safe conditions at the construction site
• ability to identify and resolve construction issues and conflicts that may arise
• familiarity with subcontractor management and construction scheduling
• ability to conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards
• proficiency in using relevant software and tools for civil engineering and construction project management
• strong leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance and direction to field personnel and subcontractors
• excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner
• strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
• ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
