Open Water Coach

Job description

Deliver scuba diving courses according to internationally recognized agency standards within a luxury tourism setting. Ensure student safety and provide exceptional guest experiences. Support the Dive Center Manager in daily operations. Prepare facilities and ensure equipment readiness. Conduct classroom, confined water, and open water training, assess performance, and issue certifications. Promote environmental stewardship and adhere to safety and emergency protocols.

Requirements

• Certified Open Water Scuba Instructor from a recognized agency (e.g., PADI OWSI, SSI)
• Active teaching status with valid professional membership
• Minimum of 2 years experience delivering scuba diving instruction in a commercial environment
• Valid First Aid, CPR, AED, and Emergency Oxygen Provider certifications
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong teaching and coaching abilities
• Outstanding customer service mindset
• High responsibility and safety commitment
• Ability to engage with diverse cultures and high‑end clientele
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Professional presentation aligned with luxury hospitality standards
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Additional instructor certifications (Advanced, Rescue, Specialty)
• Arabic proficiency is an advantage
• Experience in underwater photography/videography is a plus
• Knowledge of marine life identification and conservation practices.
