Area Manager

Job description

The Area Manager for the North region oversees performance and daily operations of multiple dark stores. Ensures stores operate efficiently and quickly to deliver an excellent customer experience. Leads teams in inventory, picking and packing, order fulfillment, replenishment, quality control, and store operations while tracking key operational and commercial KPIs. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment; ensuring stores meet targets for order accuracy, fulfillment speed, product availability, and customer service; leading and developing Store Managers and operational teams including staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management; monitoring KPIs such as picking productivity, inventory accuracy, stock availability, shrinkage, waste, and order fulfillment time; identifying operational gaps and implementing initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, cost, and customer experience; partnering with Supply Chain, Last Mile, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to resolve issues and enhance service levels; ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational standards across all stores

• 3+ years experience in dark stores, quick commerce, grocery e‑commerce, retail, fulfillment, or warehouse operations

• strong understanding of inventory and fulfillment operations
• data‑driven decision making
• strong leadership, problem‑solving, and execution skills
• effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with store, inventory, supply chain, and operations leaders
