Senior Commercial Manager (FIDIC)

Job description

Support the FIDIC Engineer in administering commercial and contractual matters under FIDIC Design and Build contracts. Responsibilities include contract and commercial administration, interpreting contractual requirements for measurement, valuation, payment, variations, reviewing contractor submissions, maintaining commercial records, providing guidance to project teams, independent measurement and valuation, change and variation management, claims and dispute support, preparing regular commercial reports, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with FIDIC and client procedures.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working under FIDIC Conditions of Contract
• Previous experience supporting or working with a FIDIC Engineer, Engineer’s Representative, Employer’s Representative, or client-side organization is highly advantageous
• Payment certification
• Assist with timely issuance of payment certificates in accordance with the Contract
• Maintain complete and auditable records of measurements, valuations, certificates, approvals, correspondence, and commercial decisions
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on major construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
• Experience in measurement, valuation, interim payment assessment, variations, claims, final accounts, and commercial reporting
• Experience working in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of local construction practices, procedures, and regulations
