Surveyor

Job description

Support surveying and site measurement activities on a hospitality construction project. Assist the senior surveyor, site engineers, contractors, and consultants in setting out, checking dimensions and levels, recording site data, and preparing survey reports to ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, establishing survey control points, performing level, alignment, elevation and position checks, using total stations, automatic levels, GPS and laser equipment, reviewing drawings and specifications, documenting measurements, preparing as‑built surveys and reports, reporting discrepancies, supporting quantity verification, checking subcontractor set‑outs, coordinating with site teams, maintaining equipment, and following health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction or related field
• 10 years of experience in construction sites, preferably in hospitality, commercial, residential or mixed‑use projects
• proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and technical documents
• proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• basic knowledge of surveying practices, construction methods and quality control procedures
• familiarity with surveying software and data processing systems advantageous
• ability to operate or learn to operate total stations, levels and GPS equipment
• valid professional or technical certifications as required by local regulations
• strong organizational and record‑keeping skills
• ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced construction environment
• strong communication and teamwork skills
• ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
