Yoga Instructor

Job description

Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate. Enforce safety rules and regulations. Observe activities and respond to emergencies according to local procedures. Notify supervisor when guests cannot safely participate. Assist injured guests until emergency services arrive. Maintain adequate cups and water supply. Clean restrooms, showers, and fitness area, remove towels and trash. Advise on proper use of fitness equipment. Instruct group fitness classes at all ability levels. Lead guests on hikes, walks, or other physical activities. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions. Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information. Anticipate guest service needs and assist individuals with disabilities. Communicate clearly and professionally, answer phones politely. Develop positive working relationships and ensure quality standards. Visually inspect tools and equipment, perform required physical tasks. Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• proficiency with fitness equipment
• proficiency in fitness instruction
• knowledge of body fat and weight measuring tools
• experience in physical assessment
• experience in activity instruction
• any certification or training required by local and state agencies
• less than 1 year related work experience
