Discipline Manager (Water Features)

Job description

Leads planning, design, coordination and delivery of water feature systems across landscape, hospitality, mixed-use, public realm and large-scale development projects. Provides technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams to ensure innovative, sustainable and operationally efficient solutions that meet client, regulatory and project requirements. Oversees design quality, resource management, stakeholder engagement and project execution from concept through construction and commissioning. Leads design of decorative fountains, interactive water features, waterfalls, ponds, lakes, water walls and special aquatic systems, ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards and environmental regulations. Coordinates with landscape architects, civil, MEP and structural engineers and other stakeholders, reviewing and approving calculations, specifications, drawings, reports and construction documents. Develops sustainable solutions that optimize water use, energy efficiency and performance. Manages discipline resources, budgets, schedules and deliverables, providing technical mentorship to engineers and designers. Conducts design reviews, value engineering and risk assessments, and liaises with suppliers, specialist contractors and manufacturers for equipment selection. Supports procurement through technical evaluations and tender reviews. Monitors construction activities and provides technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and handover. Maintains strong client relationships as the primary technical authority for water feature matters and drives continuous improvement, innovation and best practices
